Starting in autumn 2022, doc.hci, a doctoral college in Human-Computer Interaction, funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and offered by Paris-Lodron University Salzburg and Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, will host 5 excellent students to study the complex interdependencies of humans and digital technologies.
Theoretical work mixed with empirical studies in five distinct fields of research is what the prospective students can look forward to. They focus on Mobility (Unobtrusive Interaction with Digital Data in Motion), Health (Sustainable Behaviour Change for Prevention and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases Through Ambient Technologies), Play (Reframing Hybrid Play – A Body- and Material-Centred Perspective), Education (Opportunity Spaces for Informal Education), and Work (Spaces of Work – Hybrid Realities in the Home Office).
Interested students from a range of backgrounds are invited to apply by April 20, 2022. All details can be found on the project website: https://hci.sbg.ac.at/doc-funds.
