The Center for HCI cooperates with MAN Truck & Bus AG in order to explore future workplaces for truckers in automated autonomous trucks. With the advance of more and more automated functions in modern trucks there is the prediction that the future work place in a truck will look different. The freedom for truckers during phases of non-driving (i.e. when the automated truck is driving autonomously) will give truckers the chance to interact with technology in a different way in the future. In this project we explore how this interaction can look like. What are the chances? What are the constraints?
This project is a cooperation between the MAN Truck & Bus AG and the Center for Human-Computer Interaction of the University of Salzburg (Austria).
