7-year Postdoc position in Human-Computer Interaction / Interaction Design / Persuasive Technology at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute (LBI) Digital Health
We are facilitating a senior postdoc position with a background on Human-Computer Interaction / Interaction Design / Persuasive Technologies in Salzburg, Austria.
The Center for HCI at the University of Salzburg has, together with our partners, initiated the founding of a so-called Ludwig Boltzmann Institute (LBI) in the area of Digital Health focusing on “Increasing Patient Participation during Diagnosis, Acute and Life-Long Therapy”. We have received a 7-year grant of € 9,1 million from the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft and the State of Salzburg to develop and apply new digital technologies to increase sustainability of lifestyle changes.
In brief, the LBI will be situated on the University Hospital Salzburg Campus and will be home to up to four working groups each headed by a principal investigator (PI). We are now looking for up to four PIs and Co-PIs that then are funded to build their own groups. The LBI is scheduled to commence work in May 2019, and in keeping with the philosophy of Open Innovation Science experts and/or scientists of all areas are invited to apply.
Candidates for a PI position can apply for a 5-days “ideas lab“ (February 17-22, 2019) at the Hotel Schlosspark Mauerbach near Vienna, Austria. Candidates shall have been awarded their first doctor/PhD > 4 and ≤ 14 years prior to 1 January 2019. Candidates are welcomed from a variety of scientific backgrounds including HCI, IxD, or Persuasive Technologies.
Ideas Lab registration deadline: 20 December 2018
Selection of Participants: 17 January 2019
Ideas Lab: 17-23 February 2019
Funding announcement: end of April 2019
